Band Program:

Lessons start week of Sept. 25th.

Tuesday
12-12:30 Clarinet & Trumpet
12:30-1 Flute
Thursday
10:00 Trombone & Baritone Horn
12:00 Saxophone
12:30 Percussion
The cost for a school year of lessons is $250.
Cheques to New Maryland Elementary or cashless schools accepted (hopefully by the end of the month) in full or in installments:
Scholarships for registration and instruments are available.
$250 Pay in Full
or by installments:
$100 - October 6th
$100 - December 1st
$50 - February 2nd
- Instrument must be rented:
* Students (except percussion) are responsible for renting and bringing their own instrument to school.
There is a limited number of instruments available to rent through the school for $75 ( first come first serve)
However this option lacks insurance, covering damage/theft/loss.
It is recommended that instruments be rented from Long and Mcquade when possible for the following reasons:
Rent covers all damages from getting dropped to slammed in a car door.
Rent money goes toward equity to buy the instrument if your child plans to play the instrument for the long term
Be sure to ask for the school year rental program. 100% of your rental fee until January goes towards the purchase. It then drops to 60%.
If renewed for the following year the summer is free.
Rental rates will vary by instrument and brand. Eg. A flute at 17$/month while an alto sax is 32$/month
